Caiden Ramsell “The Muskie Kid” comes from a long line of “muskie nuts!” He is the grandson of world renown auther, guide, historian, and muskie mentor, Larry Ramsell. Caiden began his persuit of the elusive Esox as a teenager after a short fishing trip while his grandfather was visiting his home state of Illinois. Caiden, now an adult with a family of his own, spends his free time pursuing muskies. He is a strong supporter of catch and release and often when asked about it he says, “Dead fish don’t grow.” He also spends countless hours researching and studying to further his knowledge and continue the Ramsell family legacy of providing accurate factual information on muskies, as well as being able to hopefully pass his love and knowledge of muskie hunting on to his two sons.
